Wilf the Wilful Cocker Spaniel – Gundog Training

17 month old Wilf the Cocker Spaniel is like a Ferrari of the gundog world. His drive and focus on game is immense to the point that if not channeled he will wonder around the fields and ponds. Whilst he doesn’t chase game he’s happy to run the line of a field entertaining himself.

Over the last few gundog lessons Ann has worked hard to channel his focus and energy with some amazing results. Despite time invested it’s become apparent the family are unable to provide the life Wilf needs. Owning a strong willed working dog isn’t easy and unfortunately Ann health means she struggling with working him hard for the periods needed. So I’ve offered to help with what can only be described as a difficult decision to re home Wilf to an active working life.

Making a decision to re home your dog is a selfless process and one I’ve done over the years. I admire anyone who puts their animals first. It’s important to remember owning a dog doesn’t mean they belong to you.
