1-2-1 Dog Training
If you are looking to get the best out of your dog, 1-2-1 dog training lessons are a great option. The focus and attention is completely on your dog. This means it’s easy to see what they need, how they respond and where you would like them to be. Individual lessons are for any breed of dog and for any age too. Your dog doesn’t have to be a puppy to benefit from training. During each hour lesson, I’ll give you tasks to work on before I see you next. Progress can be rapid or steady, it depends on you and your dog. One thing I can guarantee, if you follow the Tesselymoor Way of training, you will have a well-behaved dog that is a pleasure to be around.
Where do we train?
My 1-2-1 dog training lessons take place at my farm near Lytham, Lancashire. This location offers lots of opportunities for creating different scenarios, including training around other dogs and livestock. There are plenty of areas to practice heel work and to progress to recall and retrieves. I also occasionally suggest meeting for a lesson in busy areas if we are working on a specific behaviour with your dog. For example, if you want your dog to sit quietly while you have a coffee in a cafe, we can meet up to work on that in a real life situation. I also encourage other family members to attend lessons if they regularly interact with the dog. Consistency is key in training so it’s good that everyone understands what is required of them as dog handlers – this includes the kids!
How many lessons will we need?
The number of lessons you have depends on you and your dog. You may just need a short course of lessons to correct an unwanted behaviour. This might be pulling on the lead or lunging at other dogs. It may be that you have a puppy and want to start with the basics and work up to some more advanced training.
My aim is to help you get the most out of your dog. I look forward to working with you to create this unique bond.

Before we started training with you, we were unable to walk her on lead as she pulled like a train. We have implemented your methods and values and we are seeing the rewards already. At no point did we feel that we would be where we are now with Stella, and after such a short space of time.
