Puppy Training Yoshi the Australian Kelpie

It’s always great to meet the eclectic mix of breeds across my dog training services. Today I met Yoshi the Australian Kelpie who’s starting out on his training journey. This is an active breed that comes with certain characteristics that can be challenging if not trained correctly from day one. His owners are first time dog owners who chose this breed as his mother has a Kelpie cross breed.

Yoshi is a beautiful puppy, but you can see he’s already worked out who’s weak and how to push his owners buttons. In this first lesson we’ve implemented a good solid training routine.

Puppies are like sponges, they are absorbing information so fast and if they absorb too much they’ll sink. Ensure you keep your training short, structured, fun and enjoyable for all involved.
