Buddy Fox Red Labrador Gundog Training

Today was my second gundog training lesson with Lee and 12 month old Buddy the Fox Red Labrador. Buddy is certainly a pocket rocket with his work ethic. He’s 100mph when sent on a retrieve which sometimes mean he’s over working the ground so along side many other training issues we’ve been working on his stop and distance control. He reminds me of my 2 year old Fox Red Labrador Fern who will create a dust trail when she sets off and if not careful will over run on delivery.

Working with Lee and Buddy is certainly enjoyable and it shows since our first lesson how much time and commitment Lee has invested in to Buddy. I’m looking forward to seeing their progress in our next lesson.
