Planning your dog training for 2022

As we start a new year, it’s a great time to take stock of what we’ve achieved and plan ahead for the year to come. This applies to your dog training for 2022 as well. Christmas is often a wake up call for dog owners and this year has been no exception. I’ve been very busy with new enquiries. All that time in the house together with dog walks skipped because of socialising or the dark days can mean you see the reality of your dog’s behaviour. I offer virtual training and one-to-one practical lessons so there’s plenty of opportunities to make 2022 the year you commit to your dog training and reap the rewards.

Gundog Training

The new year also means it’s coming to the end of the shooting season. If your dog has been working hard for you, you may be thinking of giving them a little rest in February but don’t leave it too long. There are cream eggs in the shops already – Easter is just around the corner! You will know where your dog needs more training, whether that’s steadiness, retrieves, heel work or focus. My slots are booking up fast so don’t leave it too long before securing your refresher training for the spring and summer months.

Residential Training

Another area that I’m seeing a big increase in enquiries is my residential training. The progress clients’ see when their dog trains with me everyday for a few weeks is remarkable. These slots are extremely limited so if you feel your dog could do with this kind of intense dog training for 2022, give me a call today.

I’m looking forward to welcoming clients to my new training grounds at the Tessleymoor Farm. If you haven’t visited yet, book your lesson in with me and come and experience this new training environment.
