Pigs on the run

The Saddleback pigs decided to take themselves on a bit of an adventure this morning. Lured by the smell of apples from a neighbouring field, they managed to find their way out of their paddock. The first I knew about it was when I started to receive phone calls telling me that my pigs were trotting down the country lane. It’s times like these that you realise farming is only possible as a team effort. The pigs had obviously got completing disorientated but had then taken the opportunity to be out for a stroll. They were soon rounded up and are now safely back in the pig yard. Emergency reinforcements are taking place to secure their fencing.
