Shortlisted Finalist For British Farming Awards
I’m excited to announce I’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the Against The Odds category of the British Farming Awards. These annual awards recognises British farmers and agricultural businesses for their commitment, resilience and innovation to an industry that consistently serves the nation.
The category I have been shortlisted for is a new entrants award. It is for farmers who have had no security of a family farm and have built an enterprise completely from scratch. Many of you have been following my farming journey for the past couple of years. You will know I have gone from grazing a few sheep on my dog training land to farming full-time. I’m now uprooting my home to follow this dream of being a first-generation farmer on a new farm. I’ve invested everything I have into the next stage of this journey. When I look back at all that has happened, the success of the farm so far really has been against the odds.
Awards Night
I’m so happy that my farming experience has been recognised in this way. I’ve had so much support from the farming community and this is a great way to acknowledge all their support. I’m looking forward to meeting some of my farming friends and the other nominees at the awards night in October. Of course I’ll be sharing the day via my social media channels.
