Gundog Photography Shoot with Andy Biggar.

Wisp my 18wk old Springer Spaniel

Tessleymoor Gundogs held another successful dog photography event in conjunction with professional photographer, Andy Biggar.  The event was open to all clients and their dogs and took place over the course of the day, with each dog and handler given an allocated time slot.

It is great to have a professional photographer like Andy Biggar working alongside my business as this allows me to offer alternative packages to training.  The event allows the clients to have their dogs trained by myself whilst in the presence of a professional photographer, having their dogs photographed in action.  Andy is able to capture any real time action shots of the dogs including retrieving or recalling, however more importantly, these action shots capture the true personality and characteristics of the dogs.

Today’s photographs will show not only the characteristics of the dogs but also the level of achievement and improvement that dogs and handlers have made with their training.  This was noted by Andy Biggar, who commented on how well behaved and steady many of the dogs were, particularly Ronnie and Reggie the Springer Spaniels who have come a long way with their training.

Another breed of dog at the event was a Welsh Springer Spaniel.  The Welsh Springer is a rare breed within the gundog world, however more recently I have noticed an increase in the amount of enquiries I have received for training these dogs to working standards.   It is refreshing to see a rare breed of dog within the gundog world become popular again as handlers become more confident and begin to work them out in the field.

After the success of today’s event, Tessleymoor Gundogs, in conjunction with Andy Biggar, will be holding another photography event at the end of November.  This will be a great opportunity to have your dogs photographed in action prior to Christmas and further opportunity to purchase framed prints, canvases, cards and personalised calendars etc for family and loved ones.

Should you be interested in booking a place on the next photography day, then please do not hesitate to call me for availability and cost. .
