Gundog Training Teddy the Cockapoo

If you believe in yourself and work hard anything can be achieved. This is proved with Nancy and Teddy the Cockapoo. When I first met Teddy he was a defiant, dominant dog that would run rings around his owner. You might never think of gundog training a Cockerpoo, however, that’s just what he needed. Now he’s a very well trained dog that loves working with Nancy. The thought of letting Teddy off the lead and having recall was once a dream but now is a reality.

Some people have an ideal of what they want from their dogs and stop there. Nancy started training and realised by training she was building a bond. This spurred her on to achieve more and wow they have achieved so much.

Today’s lesson saw us working Teddy in the woods through difficult terrain, retrieving over water, delivering to hand beautifully. He will work on multiple retrieves, directing on the dummy we want him to retrieve. Gundog training a Cockerpoo has worked brilliantly for Teddy and it would work for your dog too.
