Virtual Dog Training
You don’t have to live on my doorstep to benefit from my years of experience in dog training and dog behaviour. You can still access the very best training for your dog, whatever your circumstances. My virtual dog training takes place via Zoom. Your location can vary – in the home, in the garden, in the field, wherever is most appropriate to achieve the aims of the lesson. Virtual lessons can also be used in combination with practical lessons for a great all round training package.
When Can I Use Virtual Dog Training?
This service is so adaptable. Virtual dog training can be used for when you physically can’t attend a lesson, for when you and your dog need refresher lessons or to address specific behaviour problems. Popular options include:
Behavioural problems: many problems with aggression and dominant behaviour require a change in how the owner behaves towards the dog. In virtual lessons I can talk you through the best course of action and demonstrate with my dogs. I can also see how your dog is behaving in your home and advise on structure and boundaries to achieve a healthy, happy dog. I follow up the first lesson with a report and details of the training we have discussed, before a further virtual lesson to assess progress. From there many clients choose to progress to practical 1-2-1 lessons if they are in travelling distance.
Pre/post puppy package: if you are getting a puppy, you need to get ready. This involves so much more than providing somewhere to sleep and some food bowls. My pre/post puppy training package includes a combination of four virtual and practical lessons. Before your pick up your puppy, we cover collection, integrating into the household, feeding, toileting, structure and basic commands. Follow up lessons keep you on the right track, covering socialisation, lead walking, focus and bond.
Gundog Training: if you are looking to work on a specific area of your training, a virtual lesson is a great way to put you on the right track. From here you can implement the changes we discuss and then follow up with a further virtual lesson to assess progress or move on to a practical 1-2-1 lesson.
Follow on lessons: many clients using my residential training service travel long distances to leave their dog with me. For follow up training, virtual lessons are a great option. I can observe how the dog is progressing, correct any unwanted behaviour and set new training goals.
What Happens Between Lessons?
To keep you focused on your dog, I will set tasks to work on between your virtual lessons. I can demonstrate commands and desired behaviours with my dogs for you to watch and try. If you have questions between lessons, I am also available on the phone to keep you on the right track.
I like to keep my practical lessons fun and interactive and virtual dog training lessons are no exception. I have clients internationally so now you can benefit from my years of dog training expertise wherever you live.

After our first virtual lesson with Buster, I couldn’t believe the difference in his behaviour around us and in the house.
