Instilling good puppy foundation training, Preston, Lancashire

When introducing a new puppy to your home, puppy foundation training is essential.

Here you can see 12 week old Maggie. She is a German Shepherd puppy and is settled quietly in her crate at her owner’s business. Maggie is owned by a good friend of mine so I’ve been able to ensure she’s got a solid foundation to her first weeks of training.

Both owners are not only new dog owners, they have purchased a high energy and high drive breed. Fortunately I was on hand to help source and talk through with the breeder the temperament of the pups and the history of her parents pedigree lines.

Enjoying your new puppy

Owning a dog should be an enjoyable experience. The excitement of collecting and introducing your puppy to your family is one that you should enjoy. However, many owners put too much emphasis on over loving and very little time on structure, routine and boundaries.

Everyday I receive enquires from owners who’s lives are being run by their puppies or young dogs. Their lives have become consumed by their dogs. They don’t enjoy the experience of owning a dog anymore.

I offer a pre/post puppy training programme. This will assist in the purchase, introduction and on going training of your new puppy. Give me a call me and I’d be happy to talk through any questions you may have before booking your tailored programme.
