Residential Dog Training for a German Shorthaired Pointer

7 month old Lyra the German Shepherd has become a problem for her owners so she arrived for residential training to allow me to reset and instil good solid basics with her training.

Over loving, mixed signals and allowing her to rule the roost has created a domineering and out of control dog.

It’s been 6 days since Lyra arrived at my kennels. The initial few days were certainly a challenge as Lyra wasn’t used to being told no. She’s a very well natured dog that just needs to be taught boundaries and respect, whilst not changing her character. Training a dog isn’t a choir its an opportunity to build on a foundation that will last a lifetime. Understanding your dogs behaviour and working with it achieves massive goals. I work with my clients dogs to bring out that behaviour, harness and develop good behaviour that any parent would be proud of with their children, which in essence is what our dogs are to many.

I’m looking forward to the weeks ahead, seeing her development as I challenge her training with more interesting scenarios.
