That Special Bond

It’s great to see the special bond that has developed between Jack and his Springer Spaniel, Bailey. Jack has trained with me before with his Terrier, Luna. He started training late with Luna and felt that he could do better with Bailey.  Jack had pre- and post-puppy training lessons with me and has closely followed The Tessleymoor Way. He works in a rural environment and so has to have a dog that is under control and well-behaved at all times. He is also enjoys carp fishing and again, this means his dog needs to sit quietly with him.

The bond Jack and Bailey have has all been built without the use of food for rewards. I have been training in this way for many years and it really works. Food only exacerbates problems, rewarding bad behaviour. Instead, Jack has worked consistently with his dog and is now able to enjoy his companion at work and in his leisure time.
