Testimonial – Helping to find a dog for a client

This is a thank you to Damian for helping find me a suitable dog for reasonable money that would be an asset to my picking up team of dogs.

Brook had the right breeding and despite being 3yrs of age and not done a huge amount if any of field work. Damian assured me that with the right training and patience this dog would be very suitable for me.

Well, patience not being my strong point I was expecting a lot more from Brook immediately without really giving her time to settle into her new surroundings, she had to find her place within my pack of dogs and then there was a new family too and I was used to having dogs that listened, obeyed and had manners.

Brook pushed boundaries all the time and my expectations of her improving were high.
I can’t thank Damian enough for the many calls of reassurance and training tips that have helped me with Brook. Now whilst Brook has only been with me a month I’ve already had her out on 5 days working in the field with her improving all the time, on her 5th day she retrieved shot and wounded game to hand. I could not of been happier with her, she is far from perfect but with a summer of training ahead of us she will certainly be ready for next season.

I have used Damian several times for residential training in the past 4 years and I will certainly be using him again when looking for my next sound working dog or puppy.
