Tessleymoor On Tour

After what has been a challenging 16 months, it’s great to reset with a break away. Scotland is always my destination of choice. I have found a great holiday cottage in Westerkirk called Billholm House. It’s in a perfect peaceful location, bordering the River Esk. This is a great place to relax and enjoy life for a few days, away from the normal pressures and demands. Crucially, the fabulous host at Billholm House welcomes well behaved dogs so I am able to take Tessleymoor on tour.

Travelling With Dogs

My gundogs travel well in my trailer and the TransK9 dog transit box in my Landrover. The trailer is thermally insulated so overheating is not a problem. This year I have my Border Collie pup Skye along for her first vacation. As she is so well crate trained, it’s as easy to have her in the kitchen here as it is at home.

Lots of people like to take their dogs on holiday with them. This is especially true this year with so many people having their holidays in the UK. However, you will find it’s only a relaxing break if they are well trained. In a different environment, you need to be sure that your dogs will stay close by and be obedient. My dogs love the change of scene and training in a different environment.

I’ve left the Tessleymoor Farm in the very capable hands of some friends. Of course, I never entirely switch off but have set a limit on myself.  I’ve been working just one hour a day to answer calls and take bookings. It’s looking like a very busy late summer and autumn ahead for Tessleymoor.
