Residential Training 6 month old Myrtle the Wirehaired Vizsla

residential puppy gundog training wirehaired vizsla

It’s Myrtle’s first few days in residence and she’s settling in well. This Wirehaired Vizsla is part of a busy household. It would appear that there have been lots of distraction and inconsistencies in her training. Both owners have their own businesses; Myrtle needs to be trained so that she can go to work with either of them. This will involve being in a shop environment or at outside events so she needs to be adaptable and very obedient.

Myrtle will also be a working dog in the shooting field. Her owners take an annual trip to the Scottish island of Islay. This Wirehaired Vizsla will come into her own as an HPR with the opportunity of stalking. So what the owners  are looking for is a multifaceted, obedient, working dog. Over the period of her residential stay with me, I will be training Myrtle to become an excellent companion in whatever is expected of her.
