Gundog Training 1 year old Lexi the Labrador

This beautiful young Labrador attended her first gundog training lesson today. Most of her training has been self taught through reading and watching videos. As it’s her owner’s intention to work Lexi on a shoot, it’s important she’s well trained. Being a novice at shooting himself, Ryan needs a dog that won’t embarrass him in the shooting field. Initially Ryan will be picking up and beating to gain experience so Lexi’s training needs to be tailored to accommodate this.

Her lesson today was a very positive one. Whilst we have many bad traits to correct, she showed great promise during the lesson. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing this girl again in a few weeks.
